ENTUM GAMES GRANT THE MOM
We know firsthand just how challenging navigating the Olympics and Paralympics are when you have children. That’s why we created the MOMentum Games Grant, Canada’s first and only source of financial support for Team Canada’s Olympic and Paralympic athlete mothers.
At MOMentum, we get it, money stress is real for athlete moms. Add in the biggest competition of your career, packed with new logistics and challenges you’ve probably never faced before, and it can feel overwhelming.
That’s why we started the MOMentum Games Grant. Each Olympic and Paralympic Games, we give grants directly to Team Canada athlete moms to help cover the extra costs that come with competing and raising a family.
It’s our way of saying: you deserve to show up at your best: for your family, your sport, and yourself.
Because moms deserve to compete for gold.

Next Stop: Milano-Cortino 2026
We launched the MOMentum Games Grant for the 2024 Games, and after seeing the difference it made, we started to dream bigger. We asked ourselves: what amount would make an even greater impact? Based on personal experience and feedback from athletes, we’ve set a new goal, to provide a minimum of $5,000 to every athlete mom who applies for financial assistance.
We’re actively fundraising to make this possible, and as we head into December, we’ll be opening applications for the next round of Games Grants.
-
Any athlete mom who has been named to the 2026 Canadian Olympic or Paralympic Team is eligible.
There’s no age limit, and we don’t give priority to any one sport or athlete. If you’re a mom — whether you gave birth or not — you’re eligible.
And if both you and your partner are competing for Team Canada and you’re both athlete moms, you can each apply for the Grant.
-
Apply to our grant (coming Dec 2025), and outline why you need additional financial support. Once confirmed, you’ll recieve the grant via e-transfer and it’s up to you how you use it - no strings attached. We trust that you’ll make the right choices, whether it’s childcare, groceries, downtime, etc.
-
We know that this Grant is coming at a busy time, so want to make this process as easy as possible. We will be asking basic questions around why you would like support, so no need to break out your financial records or T4s. We are here to make your journey easier, not harder.
-
To be a recipient, we just ask for a few simple things, like sharing photos or short videos that we can post on our social channels to highlight you and the Grant. If that’s not your thing, no problem, we want you to feel comfortable.
We do ask that you make one post on Instagram (and LinkedIn, if you have it) before or after the Games, sharing what the support meant to you. This visibility helps us show donors the real impact of their contributions and allows us to support even more athlete moms in the future.
Our team has been there, competing, juggling sponsors, friends, family, and media all at once. We know how much is on your plate. We’ll work with you to make sure this feels easy and supportive, not stressful.
-
Great question! One of our main goals is to change the narrative around elite athlete motherhood, and that starts with storytelling. If you’re interested, we’ll connect with you to learn how we can help elevate your platform during the Games. That might mean featuring your story on our socials or website, or resharing your own posts.
We also believe athlete moms deserve every brand deal and sponsorship opportunity out there (if that’s your thing!). So, any way we can help amplify your visibility, we will.
And if you’d like to stay connected after the Games, we’ll make sure you’re on our email list so you’re first to hear about future opportunities, grants, and resources.
