The MOMentum
Games Grant
At MOMentum, we know the financial and logistical pressures on athlete mothers can be intense, especially leading up to the biggest competition of your career. That’s why we created the MOMentum Games Grant: to provide direct financial support to Team Canada athlete moms during the Olympic and Paralympic Games, helping cover the additional costs that come with competing while raising a family.
Our goal is simple: to make it easier for athletes to focus on training, competing, and managing family responsibilities, so you can perform at your best both on and off the field.
The ProcessNext Stop: Milano-Cortino 2026
-
Any athlete mom who has been named to the 2026 Canadian Olympic or Paralympic Team is eligible.
There’s no age limit, and we don’t give priority to any one sport or athlete. If you’re a mom — whether you gave birth or not — you’re eligible.
And if both you and your partner are competing for Team Canada and you’re both athlete moms, you can each apply for the Grant.
-
Apply to our grant and outline why you need additional financial support. Once confirmed, you’ll recieve the grant via e-transfer and it’s up to you how you use it - no strings attached. We trust that you’ll make the right choices, whether it’s childcare, groceries, downtime, etc.
-
We know that this Grant is coming at a busy time, so want to make this process as easy as possible. We will be asking basic questions around why you would like support, so no need to break out your financial records or T4s. We are here to make your journey easier, not harder.
-
To be a recipient, we just ask for a few simple things, like sharing photos or short videos that we can post on our social channels to highlight you and the Grant. If that’s not your thing, no problem, we want you to feel comfortable.
We do ask that you make one post on Instagram (and LinkedIn, if you have it) before or after the Games, sharing what the support meant to you. This visibility helps us show donors the real impact of their contributions and allows us to support even more athlete moms in the future.
Our team has been there, competing, juggling sponsors, friends, family, and media all at once. We know how much is on your plate. We’ll work with you to make sure this feels easy and supportive, not stressful.
-
Great question! One of our main goals is to change the narrative around elite athlete motherhood, and that starts with storytelling. If you’re interested, we’ll connect with you to learn how we can help elevate your platform during the Games. That might mean featuring your story on our socials or website, or resharing your own posts.
We also believe athlete moms deserve every brand deal and sponsorship opportunity out there (if that’s your thing!). So, any way we can help amplify your visibility, we will.
And if you’d like to stay connected after the Games, we’ll make sure you’re on our email list so you’re first to hear about future opportunities, grants, and resources.
Questions? We’ve got answers.
